VCV care for and protect the wildlife and countryside of Aylesbury Vale


We carry out practical conservation work and related activities using traditional crafts and skills in a varied programme of habitat restoration and creation. We work with many local community groups, Buckinghamshire Council, National Trust, Lindengate, BBOWT and private landowners. We meet most Wednesdays. All members are over 18.


Our work helps a wide range of endangered species such as the black poplar, barn owl and otter. Examples of our activities are hedge and tree planting, wildlife-style hedge laying, scrub clearance, wildflower planting, pond restoration and otter holt construction. Watch the slideshow:
