Butterfly safari
In late July 2019, with temperatures approaching 30C, we stroll through a woodland near Bicester, and find numerous types of butterfly:
- Comma
- Gatekeeper
- Large Skipper
- Marbled White
- Meadow Brown
- Peacock
- Purple Hairstreak
- Red Admiral
- Ringlet
- Small Skipper
- Small Tortoiseshell
- Small White
- Speckled Wood
and the Scarlet Tiger moth.
Later at Bernwood Forest, we also find:
- Brimstone
- Silverwash Fratillery
