Parks

We carry out work in parks all around Aylesbury Vale.

Bedgrove Park, Aylesbury

Working with other groups in the same week, we plant hundreds of small trees in one corner of the park, celebrating National Tree Week 2019.

We continue to care for the trees, by regularly adding woodchip mulch to the base of each tree to suppress nearby weeds.

The Coppice Park, Aylesbury

We open up the footpath, helping to safely separate dog walkers and children around the playground.

Haydon Hill Park, Aylesbury

In 2022, we trim back undergrowth to make the paths through the wooded area more accessible to walkers.

Heartlands Park, Buckingham

We remove some old shrubbery, in readiness for daffodil-bulb planting. Later, we plant hundreds of snowdrop bulbs nearby.

Meadowcroft Park, Aylesbury

As part of a crime-prevention scheme in a public park, we needed to lower the height of a hedge. Extensive cutting would ruin the natural habitat. Instead we partially cut and then fold the trees to create a 'live hedge'. The dense new hedge prevents dogs and cats from disturbing nests of birds and small animals.
